La réalisation d’une coupe très mince de l’intestin inverse la topologie habituelle : la face interne se retrouve exposée à l’extérieur. Habituellement, l’intestin est découpé en petits segments tubulaires, puis ouverts longitudinalement avant observation en microscopie électronique à balayage (MEB). Cette pièce a été conservée et observée par simple curiosité scientifique. L'image originale est de haute résolution de 12288x9216 pixels (108 Mo); 31 passages par ligne; temps d'acquisition de 25 minutes. 🇬🇧 Image description Cross-sectional view of a thin slice of mouse gut and its associated flora. Cutting the gut into a very thin section results in an inversion of the usual topology, with the inner surface exposed outward. Typically, the gut is processed as small tubular segments that are longitudinally opened prior to scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observation. This particular piece was kept and imaged out of scientific curiosity.
